Baked Beans cupcakes: Heinz’s limited edition cupcakes

But you have to be quick! The baked beans cupcakes are only available until the 20th of October!

If you’re in London this week you can pick up a range of Heinz condiment flavoured cupcakes from selected Hummingbird Bakeries.

The range is in celebration of 150 years of Heinz, and the limited edition range features ketchup, beanz, salad cream, mayonnaise and tomato soup flavours.

They are available to buy from all six The Hummingbird Bakery in London until the 20th of October 2019, retailing at @3.25 take away or £3.90 eat in, per cupcake.

The Heinz Beanz Cupcake

The flouriness of the beans and the moisture of the tomato sauce mix beautifully to give a carrot cake-like sponge. The tomato sauce gives sweetness to the whole mixture, which pairs wonderfully with the maple syrup cream cheese frosting.

The Heinz Tomato Ketchup Cupcake

The Hummingbird Bakery’s best-selling cupcake, the Red Velvet, gets a saucy reboot with the addition of Heinz Tomato Ketchup which brings sweetness to the sponge and is topped with a classic cream cheese frosting to merge sweetness with sharpness.

The Heinz Salad Cream Cupcake

Using the pairing of strawberries and balsamic vinegar as inspiration, the Heinz Salad Cream flavoured sponge is also smothered with a Heinz Salad Cream flavoured frosting, which in turn has crushed meringue and chopped summer strawberries muddled through, in a tribute to the classic Eton Mess.

The Heinz (Seriously) Good Mayonnaise Cupcake

This irresistible recipe features rich chocolate sponge flavoured with cocoa and studded with dark chocolate chips, and uses the luxuriousness of Heinz [Seriously] Good Mayonnaise with a splash of buttermilk to lend it an indulgent moist texture. Topped with a moreish chocolate cream cheese frosting and drizzled with melted white chocolate for a decadent finish.

The Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup Cupcake

Adding Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup to the sponge mixture brings plenty of moisture, adds the natural sweetness of tomatoes and best of all, gives it the glorious orange sunset colour that we know and love from Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup. The vibrant aroma of basil is added into the light and creamy frosting, gently infusing the cream with basil flavour.
