You will need:

Edibles:

Equipment:

  • 1 sheet printed wafer paper with floral oriental pattern
  • small amount of modelling chocolate
  • edible glue
  • black and gold petal dust (Magic Colours)
  • dipping solution
  • scissors
  • paint brushes
  • knife

1

Print off your chosen design onto wafer paper. If you don't have an edible printer most cake decorating suppliers will print one for you. Trim off any white bits from the edges.

2

Fold the wafer paper into a fan.

3

Cut a strip of modelling chocolate and secure it to the bottom of the fan using edible glue. This will hold the fan in shape.

4

Cut two smaller strips of modelling chocolate and secure either end of the large strip using edible glue. Paint the centre using black dust colour and dipping solution and paint the thinner top and bottom strips gold.
