Using Cake Décor's Cocktail Flavours Kit, these bakes can taste of Piña Colada, Gin, Strawberry Daiquiri or Mojito - umm, yes please! You will need

  • 24 freshly baked vanilla cupcakes

To decorate:

  • Cake Décor Cocktail Flavours Kit
  • Cake Décor Gel Food Colours in Pink, Yellow and Green
  • white glimmer sugar sprinkles
  • desiccated coconut
  • slices of strawberry and lime buttercream icing

Equipment

  • piping bags
  • large round nozzle
  • spatula
  • 4x bowls
  • drink umbrellas
  • paper straws

Instructions

Split the buttercream icing evenly between 4 bowls – 1 for each flavour. Add a tube of flavour gel from the Cake Décor Cocktail Flavours Kit to each bowl (these include delicious Piña Colada, Gin Fizz, Strawberry Daiquiri and Mojito flavours) and mix well. Use the full tube for max cocktail impact!

To add colour to the cocktail flavoured icing, squeeze Cake Décor Pink, Yellow and Green Gel Food Colour into the corresponding mixes and mix thoroughly.

Spoon the flavoured buttercreams into piping bags with a large round nozzle, then pipe onto the freshly baked cupcakes in circular motions. 4 Now it’s time to add the final touches! We used a selection of sprinkles and drink decorations to finish each cupcake, as well as slices of fresh fruit.
