Be bang on trend and have a go at making these cool succulent flowers, shown to you by Zoe Smith.

1Colour 50g of flower paste with liquorice paste - each petal is 3g. Make sixteen and keep them covered. Cut your wire into 6cm pieces and hook one end on each piece. Take one piece and roll it into a ball, pinching at one end. Dip the hooked end into the glue and push it into the paste. Snip the end to make three sections. Smooth the sections slightly. Leave to dry. |

2Shape each ball into a teardrop, pinch at one end. Dip the hooked end of each wire and push into the leaves. |

3Make seven large, four medium and four small, curling the medium in slightly. Let the leaves dry on a petal former. |

4Take florist tape and tape the leaves together, starting from the centre piece and working from the smaller petals outward. |

5Colour 30g of flower paste a darker grey and make fifteen balls of 2g. Make three centres in the same way as the previous succulent. |

6Make twelve small petals in the same way as the previous succulent. |

7Tape together, starting from the centre piece and working outward as before. |

8Cut 6cm sections of wire and hook the ends. Colour 20g of flower paste blue with the peacock blue. take small pea sized balls into long teardrop shapes and glue in the wires, add smaller pieces with edible glue. Make with various amounts of smaller pieces added. Let them firm up. Take four wires and tape them together. |

9Take each succulent and put each into a flower pick and position in your cake. |
