We knead you! Rise to the challenge by taking part in Bake it Better this October and raise vital dough for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is asking budding bakers across the UK to butter up their colleagues, friends and classmates by holding a bake sale to raise vital dough during the charity’s
Bake it Better week (19-25 October 2015). Amateur bakers of all abilities can take part -whether baking it or faking it, every sale will make a huge difference to thousands of very ill children from across the UK. Taking part is simple:
sign up now, hold a bake sale and raise some dough!
Last year Bake it Better raised over £100,000 towards Great Ormond Street Hospital’s redevelopment programme and, now in its fifth year, the 2015 appeal aims to raise more than £200,000 from bake sales across the UK.
The money raised will enable Great Ormond Street Hospital to provide world-class care for young patients and their families by contributing to the rebuilding of the hospital, supporting ground-breaking research; funding the most up-to-date equipment and providing accommodation and other support services for children and their families.
To help make every bake sale stand out, the charity has put together a super fundraising kit, jam-packed full of materials including bunting, cake toppers, posters alongside celebrity and patient recipes, baking themed games and top tips to ensure every bake sale is a sweet success.
“Everyone can get involved in Bake it Better – you can organise a bake sale at your local club, school or with colleagues at your workplace. Every cupcake or cookie sold will help us make a real difference for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s seriously ill patients and their families from across the UK" - Hayley Richardson from Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity
Hungry for more? Then look no further, they've also got lots of fun games for you, your friends and colleagues to get involved in. Take a look at their fundraising ideas for some inspiration.
