'Tis the season for cake decorating!Though we've had a couple of months off of these Best of the Bunch round-ups, you lovely lot have certainly not stopped your decorating! With birthday cakes a plenty, it was also lovely to see some festive additions to the Facebook competition this month - so without further ado, here's the five we've selected as our favourite for December. We hope you enjoy them - and well done to those that we've featured! Keep your eyes open in January for your next chance to win...
Gina MadiWe adore how colourful and fun this farmyard scene is! Gina's creation is perfect for an animal-lover's 2nd birthday. Our favourite bit? The 'lil ducks swimming on the pond!
Sam EmeryWe had a few autumnal bakes entered this month, but this log-style cake from Sam really did blow us away! Along with the critters on the top, the delicate leaf work and the attention to detail on the cake board is what impressed us most.
Alison TarranWe still love a good topped drippy cake, and the one that Alison entered ticks all the boxes. As well as being super-neat and topped with all our favourite treats, we love the idea of colouring fruit to match your theme. We reckon any 21-year-old would be chuffed with this cake!
Kristine MohanThe Nightmare Before Christmas is very much an iconic film - perhaps verging on the edge of being dubbed a cult classic? - and this cake honours the protagonist, Jack Skellington, perfectly. We love it Kristine!
Clare MaynardWe had a few wintery-themed bakes entered, but our favourite was most definitely this wooly hat and mittens combo! We adore how the fondant has been worked to resemble knitted wool, and the string on the mittens is the perfect finishing touch.
Congratulations to all of our winners! If you’re here looking for inspiration, we have loads more of it here.
