The Cake and Bake Show in London blew us away this year, the amount of stunning, breath-taking cakes was absolutely overwhelming so here's the low-down...
This was the main theme running through the show this year trend magical and mystical cake creations! From delicate fairy cake toppers to dragons guarding treasure showstoppers, we felt inspired to go away and get working on our next storytelling masterpiece.
Woodland, rabbits and butterflies are perfect inspiration for this autumnal season!
This trend was coming through on many of the Christmas themed cakes and bakes. Stemming from the remote Northern landscapes of Scandinavia and the pure beauty of winter light. Lace, check patterns and glitter in gold and silver gave each cake a very contemporary yet natural aura.
Baby it's cold outside but not cold enough! Bare in mind the Frozen effect and have a guess as to what inspired this modelling!
Think reindeers! Create a fondant topper and cover it in gold or silver edible glitter, put it on top of your wintery cake project and take everyone's breath away!
Tell me a story
Silhouette cakes, 3D decorations and children's books! This theme was one of our favourites, you can relive your childhood through cake!
What a wonderful way to tell your love story, why not show this to your cake decorator for your wedding or anniversary?
This trend was seen not just on cake pops but across cupcakes, cakes and meringues too! Work on a blank canvas and recreate it into a work of rainbow art using sprinkles and colouring.
