First came the Cronut, then the Scioche and now comes THE BATTENBUN


It is the love child of a hot cross bun and Battenberg cake.

Oh yes, we’re talking an almond, cinnamon, apricot and marzipan mashup in a pink and yellow bun (obviously!).

The BattenBun was created by, celebrity chef, Anna Olson to mark the third season of her Food Network show, Bake with Anna Olson, which sees Anna inviting viewers into her kitchen to learn the sweet skills and tantalising techniques of baking.

You can get your hands on this sugary sweet treat for FREE this weekend at East London’s Lily Vanilli bakery, but get down there early cos when they’re gone, they’re gone. We reckon this latest hybrid creation is bound to be a hit this Easter!
