After many weeks of baking challenges and showstopper success, CBBC's Junior Bake Off announced its winner of 2016 - Congratulations Nikki!

Nikki Christou, a Pride of Britain winner, was diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening condition at the age of six, it left her with a facial disfigurement. Nikki set up a YouTube channel sharing make-up tips and she offers advice to people struggling to cope with chronic illnesses. Her channel has attracted four million views and she has 79,000 subscribers and she's now the achieved even more on the Bake Off. Forty of the best young bakers from around the UK tested their culinary skills in the Bake Off tent. They aimed to impress judges Allegra McEvedy and Great British Bake Off winner, Nadiya Hussain. Plenty of biscuits, pastries and cakes later, Nikki has been crowned the baking champion! Nikki has been baking since the age of 4 and enjoys making the more extravagant bakes. In her interview on Newsround she said "since I won, I've had people asking me to make ombre cakes". She has a food dictionary which helps her decide what flavours go together and is able to substitute ingredients and find alternatives for high sugar recipes. The story first appeared on The BBC
