Types of icing: how many do you know? Mulled wine tiramisu Guy Fox and his Bonfire Night Treats Introducing our brand-new magazine… Bake & Decorate! Red-nosed reindeer cake

Mel Giedroyc and Marie Curie are counting on your cuppa!

4th May 2018

This June, the terminal illness charity Marie Curie needs you to throw a Blooming Great Tea Party.

Invite your friends, colleagues and family round for some cake and quali-tea time and all you need to do is collect donations on the day. The money you raise will help Marie Curie provide care and support for people living with a terminal illness.

Join Mel and host your own Blooming Great Tea Party

Mel Giedroyc is fronting the campaign and will be getting her bake on for Marie Curie. “I’m supporting Blooming Great Tea Party because it is the most sublimely joyous, wondrous event that takes place in June for the best cause.

“My all-time favourite cake is still mum’s chocolate fridge cake – I’ll be making some for my own tea party this year! My top tip would be to invite more people than you can possibly fit into your house. They will squeeze, don’t worry. For cake, people will do anything.”

The official cake of the campaign – Suzy Pelta’s Orange Cream Layer Cake – will be featured in June’s Baking Heaven, so keep a look out!
