Sage TM The Bakery Boss
Boasting a glass bowl and stainless steel bowl, this attractive yet sturdy patisserie-style mixer has been created with bakers in mind. With a large 4.8 litre bowl and an 800w motor, this mixer tackles many tasks with ease. The planetary mixing motion function perfectly incorporates ingredients and ensures there are no un-stirred pockets. It has ten speeds with a soft start for added control (so no splattering the kitchen with cake!) and non-slip feet to give it extra stability.
KitchenAid Mini Stand Mixer
KitchenAid stand mixers have been a truly desirable piece of equipment for all bakers for decades, but for some people, limited kitchen space is a problem. So at the end of 2016, KitchenAid decided to launch a mini stand mixer, which has the same power and performance as the standard mixers, but is 20% smaller and 25% lighter, and features a smaller 3.3ltr bowl. At the moment it’s just available in four colours – Honeydew, Matte Black, Matte Grey and Hot Sauce – but despite its smaller size, it still fits all the attachments available for the standard mixer, so you can make it into a spiraliser, food processor or pasta maker if you wish. Small scale perfection!
Kenwood Chef Sense
Kenwood has gone for a bit of a different look with its new Chef Sense range with the two-tone pastel exterior, but this is a product where functionality doesn’t take second place to the aesthetics. It features a 1,100W motor, so combines speed and power, and the splashguard sports an extra-large feed chute for ease of pouring. The machine comes with the standard attachments – dough hook, balloon whisk and k-beater – but there are also 20 attachments available to take your machine to the next level, including a blender, pasta roller and mincer.
