1Line a baking tray with waxed baking parchment or a non-stick liner. Melt your chosen chocolate in a bain-marie (a heatproof bowl sitting over a pan of lightly simmering water), making sure no water comes into contact with the chocolate. |
2Chop your flavour additions such as cranberries and pistachios (so chic) smashed candy cane for minty retro appeal or chocolate coated coffee beans with walnuts, the choices are endless. We love ginger and freeze dried berries for extra zing!. |
3Allow the chocolate to cool a little then pour into your prepared tin and level to the depth you want, 0.75 to 1 cm is perfect as the thinner the more elegant the finished result. |
4Decorate with your chosen flavours and swirls of different chocolate or candy melt colours if desired. Leave to cool then snap into striking shards of chocolate heaven and try to share… |
