Issue Summary

Available only in digital format. There is so much going on in June. Not only is it the start of our summer 'proper', but it's also the Queen's Jubilee and that lovely long weekend (2nd-5th) of street party bonanzas, but it's also Father's Day (19th June) and I can confirm with all my heart that we really love cakes and treats so that's definitely a date for the calendar!

What's in this Issue?

As it's summertime, there is nothing better than al-fresco dining, and this month we've got you covered with our picnics section (page 8), where you can find a host of recipes that are just perfect for that picnic blanket – don't forget the wine!
Baking with fruit is nothing new, but baking with vegetables may not be so common. We show you on page 16 how to make a wonderful
and summery courgette cake (don't tell the kids) that is a real crowd pleaser, while on page 18 you'll find a step-by-step guide to making cookie dough cupcakes – again, the masses are going to love them! Juliet Sear has got our heads in a spin this issue with an incredible 'sconewich loaf'. It looks like a loaf of bread, but really it's a giant slicable scone with all those classic flavours and accompaniments.
We've added an extra recipe section for you as well. Check out our 'Summer-Ready' recipes on page 72 where you can make ice cream, lollies and other refreshing treats to enjoy in the sunshine...
Happy baking!
