We stopped for a chat with our friends at LissieLou, who specialise in party accessories, including cake toppers, confetti and party straws.
They also sell glitter, wood and acrylic ranges for every occasion!

How and when did LissieLou begin?
Verity (one of the co-founders) made everything for our sister's Hen Party and Wedding. Everyone adored the items she made so she started selling them online. These sold out super quickly and from there she started growing the range. In 2017, we realised how much potential the business had so as a family we launched LissieLou as a limited company. So much has changed since then including employing a team, moving into our own beautiful office space and recently winning the 2019 Most Outstanding Cake Decorations and Toppers Award.
The name is super sweet, where did it come from?
Our eldest sister is called Felicity but her nickname has always been Lissie. As a busy mum, Felicity wasn’t able to set up the company with us so we decided we wanted her to still feel like she had a link to our company so we named it after her!
What little known fact about your business can you share with our readers?
We will soon be having a “little” pair of hands helping in the company – Verity has just given birth to a beautiful little girl!
What is the LissieLou ethos when applied to party styling?
It’s all about the finishing touches – this is what makes your event stand out from everyone else’s. Or to go one step further and personalise your event!
What are your most popular products?
By far our glitter gold range, although since launching our glitter rose gold range at the start of this year it is quickly becoming super popular. Who knows, rose gold might end up being our most popular range later this year! Our Cake Kits are also a top seller especially around Christmas and Easter when everyone loves using our Rudolf Cake Kit and Easter Bunny Cake Kit.
What innovation can we look forward to?
We have so many exciting projects in the pipeline (we are also growing our team to allow us to launch some of these quicker!). Get ready for a wider range of acrylic – we will soon be launching a printed onto acrylic range and a huge wedding range ready for this summer’s weddings! Where do LissieLou new ideas, trends and themes come from?
We are always hunting for new ideas and trends – this is often from reading magazines, visiting shops or exploring online. We work with a large number of cake companies, shops and event companies who request new designs and products too which is often where a new idea then grows from.
What do you want our readers to know about the online shopping service you provide?
We have a super speedy production team – we aim to get all orders out in less than a day and can deliver orders to customers the day after! Our customers really appreciate our speed as lots of people remember details at last minute
