The Ramsay family will be digging out their mixing bowls, rolling pins and cookie cutters to take each other on and see who can create the best ‘star bake’ as they put on their very own Bake it Better bake sale to help raise vital dough for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
They are encouraging all amateur bakers to join them in creating tempting treats to sell in the office or at school, in a bid to raise money for the charity as part of the partnership between the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity which raises funds to help the hospital provide world-class care for young patients and their families.
Gordon said: “Tana and I are delighted to support Great Ormond Street Hospital. Having spent time visiting the hospital we know what a difference your money can make to the lives of thousands of seriously ill children and to help find the cures of the future. We want to encourage everyone to rise to the challenge and join us by getting baking for GOSH.”
To kick start Bake it Better Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity has put together a super fundraising kit, jam-packed full of bunting, cake toppers, posters, celebrity and patient recipes, baking themed games, stickers and top tips to ensure every bake sale is a sweet success.
Laura Savory, Head of Community Fundraising at Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity, said: “It’s wonderful to have the Ramsay family supporting Bake it Better this year. We look forward to seeing their star bakes!
“The great thing about Bake it Better is that everyone can get involved and every bake sale, no matter how big or how small, will help us make a real difference to the hospital.”
Money raised will help Great Ormond Street Hospital to provide world-class care for young patients and their families. Money raised could help with the rebuilding of the hospital, supporting ground-breaking research, funding the most up-to-date equipment and providing accommodation and other support services for children and their families.
