There are a lot of reality TV shows that are rife with drama, but The Great British Bake off was never one of them, until now...
The drama of moving from the BBC to Channel 4 has caused a serious uproar in our nation of TV lovers. Mary Berry left the series, but not to worry, now we know what the veteran baker and TV host will be doing next. Reports this week indicate she's signed on for new series Mary Berry's Secrets From Britain's Great Houses, sounds like a dream!
You know you've made it when your name is in the actual title of the show. Mary Berry's Secrets From Britain's Great Houses will star the former Great British Bake Off host. We're hoping this news series is something in between The Great British Bake Off and Downton Abbey, wouldn't that just be exquisite?
The first half of the programme will see Mary Berry touring great estates and showing us the kitchens, the gardens and the other beautiful rooms. The other part will feature Mary Berry's beautiful bakes. According to the BBC, after taking a look at "the culinary histories" of these great homes, Mary Berry will be creating recipes that complement her experiences.
Each episode will be a half-hour program and six episodes of Mary Berry's Secrets From Britain's Great Houses have been ordered so far. Mary Berry has also said that she would like to team up with Mel & Sue again, and since they are all still with the BBC, we expect that could happen at some point.
