12th Jan 2017

Last year, some of the biggest chocolate news was when it was announced that a three-floor cafe devoted entirely to Cadbury Creme Eggs would open

For many, it was truly heaven on Earth with many snack-fiends feeling overwhelmed as the whole menu incorporated these seasonal treats, for those individuals the possibility of a Creme Egg toastie became a beacon of light, illuminating the dark corners of January with its delicious gooey centred promise. But it was short lived reality when and chocolatey slap in the face to anyone who didn’t reside in London, where it the pop up went up all too briefly. However we bring good news, actually great news, with no hints of bitterness this time as the Creme Egg Café is back – and it’s touring the UK.
Beginning in London (boo!) on 27 January, it will then visit Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Edinburgh before returning to the capital at the end of February. Tickets went on sale today (12 January) at 12pm so don't wait around: it was a absolute sell-out last year (although limited walk-in space will be offered again). Tickets can be booked at eventbrite.co.uk and cost £4.71 per person. In 2017 there will be a few changes to the set up: the café has been transformed into a hunting lodge, complete with a “wall-to-ceiling display of Creme Egg hunting paraphernalia” and customers will have the chance to “hone their hunting skills and leave as expert Creme Egg hunters” – there's no guessing what our dreams will be filled with tonight. The menu will include gooey Creme Egg s’mores (eat-in and takeaway), hunter’s hot chocolate, forest fridge cake and black forest toastie, all priced at £4 (including tea, coffee or water). Here are the dates:
