The world's longest cake has been made in India and it is a whopping 4 miles long!
The longest cake ever made was created in Kerala, India recently which measured over 6 kilometres in length. The cake was vanilla with chocolate frosting and involved the combined efforts of about 1,500 bakers and chefs.
It took over 4 hours to make the 4-mile long cake, and it weighed over 20 tonnes (27,000 kg or 59,5000 pounds)!
The cake was 10 cm (4 inches) in thickness and width, and required about 12,000 kg of sugar and flour. Prepared in three rows, the cake was spread with chocolate ganache.
The record-breaking event was organised by the Bakers Association Kerala (BAKE), and the Guinness World Records had assessed the cake as measuring 6,5000 metres. BAKE representative Naushad shared that "we ensured hygiene and taste are up to the mark".
Once confirmed by the Guinness World Records, the Kerala cake will surpass previous record-holders in China, who baked a 3.2km long fruitcake in 2018.
It isn't clear who ended up eating this incredible cake, however, but we hope it ended up in a good home!
