3 Ingredient Cheese Shortbread from FAB Flour Easy Peasy Baking Campaign

Designed to be really simple and accessible – these cheese shortbread biscuits don’t use a lot of ingredients, use simple equipment and still deliver great results. Recipe from the Easy Peasy Baking campaign, launched by nabim.

Ingredients

  • 150 g self-raising flour
  • 100 g salted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 75 g grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan) and line your baking tray with parchment.
2
In the mixing bowl, crumble the grated cheese with your fingers to make it as fine as possible. Remove 25g and set to one side.
3
Add the flour, followed by the butter into the remaining cheese, then bring it together with your fingers until a dough is formed.
4
Tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to a thickness of about 5mm, then cut out rounds using the cutter or alternative.
5
Place onto the baking tray, then sprinkle each biscuit using the remaining 25g of crumbled cheese.
6
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden, then allow to cool before serving.
